The CIRCLE is a coalition of child and family-serving organizations and individuals promoting safety, health, peace, and well-being for children, adults, and families across the lifespan by opposing the dangerous new federal policies and programs. IVAT (The Institute on Violence, Abuse & Trauma) and NPEIV (the National Plan to End Interpersonal Violence and Abuse Across the Lifespan) have joined with other interpersonal violence experts and agencies to create The CIRCLE to fight back against the consequences of the retrenchment in human services under the Trump administration. Our professional careers have been devoted to helping people and families in need and distress. We are stepping forward to preserve a national commitment to service and support.

Together, We Can Shape a Better Future: Preventing Negative Impacts from the Current Administration Policies

The current administration's policies and initiatives have far-reaching and potentially long-term damaging impacts across various critical areas, affecting diverse populations and sectors in the United States and its territories. These impacts also extend to the Federal departments that provide civil servants, experts, and professionals who ensure our safety, protection, and rights in the United States. However, many of the fundamental pillars of our national identity have been undermined or destroyed by Presidential actions, such as shutting down federal departments, terminating crucial professional civil servants, violating the Constitution, and using Nazi-like approaches with ICE (no law enforcement training, no identification, no consequences) to detain and remove 146 million Americans over the next four years (started in 2025). This means 100,000 Americans will be arrested every day, whether you are a citizen or not. Essentially, 1 in 9 or 10 Americans will be detained in humane conditions and sent to a 3rd world country with no due process, no justice, and no rights.
