Immigrants - Unless You Are "Native American", You Are in The United States Due to Ancestral Ties to Immigration

Over 91% of individuals living in the United States, including those born in the country, have ancestral ties to immigration. This highlights the fundamental role that immigrants have played in shaping the nation's identity. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the current Native American population is approximately 6.79 million, making up about 2.09% of the total U.S. population. There are roughly 574 federally recognized Native American tribes across the country. 

For the majority of the U.S. population, unless you are part of these Native tribes, your lineage can be traced back to immigrant families who sought new opportunities in America. Immigration is an integral part of the American fabric, contributing to its rich cultural diversity, economic growth, and innovation. Immigrants are what the United States is made of. With a total population of 326.7 million in the United States, only 6.79 million are Native American, as a result over 320 million in the United States are the result of immigration. We are all immigrants.
