The National Task Force on Interpersonal Violence Prevention and Collection Action (National Task Force), where we believe that unity and proactive action are essential to building a healthier, safer, and more resilient America. Our collective efforts bring together diverse leaders, organizations, and communities to develop strategic solutions that prevent violence, reduce trauma, and promote well-being for all. Through collaboration, policy advocacy, and community engagement, we are committed to creating lasting change and ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.
Vision: A healthier, safer, and more resilient America where all individuals and families thrive free from violence, abuse, and trauma, supported by effective policies, prevention programs, and community collaboration.
Mission: To unite diverse leaders and organizations in developing and implementing a strategic, actionable plan that addresses current threats to public health and social stability, promotes prevention, influences policy, and enhances education and community engagement for a safer future.
Objectives:
Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for 2026 and beyond, outlining clear goals, policies, and deliverables to counteract harmful federal initiatives and strengthen public health and safety.
Create and disseminate a policy brief that summarizes key issues, evidence, and recommended actions to inform policymakers, stakeholders, and the public.
Influence policy and political strategies by educating Congress and policymakers on the impacts of proposed initiatives and advocating for protective, evidence-based policies.
Organize and mobilize public education efforts to raise awareness about trauma, violence, abuse, and prevention strategies.
Establish train-the-trainer programs to build capacity at the community level, ensuring sustainable and widespread implementation of prevention and intervention initiatives.
Strengthen prevention services and programs aimed at reducing violence, abuse, and trauma, ensuring they are adequately funded, accessible, and effective.
Foster cross-sector collaboration among government, organizations, and communities to coordinate efforts and maximize impact.
